Assessment Tool to Support Your Agency

This self-assessment helps your agency reflect on current practices in staffing, safety, wellness, decision-making, and—most importantly—your ability to collect and use data to support those areas.

  • Get a summary with prioritized recommendations for strengthening workforce planning and data capacity.
  • Access optional, targeted technical assistance from the Safe Inside team.
  • Responses are confidential and used only to support your agency’s improvement efforts.
About the Assessment

This tool is part of the Safe Inside initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and Arnold Ventures.

It helps corrections agencies take stock not only of staffing, safety, and wellness, but also their capacity to collect, manage, and use data to guide decisions and demonstrate outcomes.

Your responses are not graded or judged. They are used only to highlight strengths and areas for growth, so the Safe Inside team can tailor technical assistance and workshops to your agency’s needs.

All responses are confidential. They will never be shared publicly or used for compliance or oversight.
